Eligibility to Post

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to post listings on RecycleTech.com.my. Users under 18 may use the platform only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Account Registration: All users must register an account with RecycleTech.com.my before posting. Registration requires providing accurate and up-to-date personal information, including a valid email address and contact number. This information must be kept current to ensure effective communication between buyers and sellers.

Permitted and Prohibited Items

Permitted Items: RecycleTech.com.my is a specialized marketplace focused on computer components. Permitted items include, but are not limited to:

Processors (CPUs): New and used processors for various platforms.
Graphics Cards (GPUs): Video cards suitable for gaming, professional workstations, etc.
Motherboards: Compatible motherboards for a range of processors.
Memory (RAM): New and used RAM modules.
Storage Devices: Hard drives, SSDs, external drives, and related storage solutions.
Power Supply Units (PSUs): PSUs for desktop computers.
Cooling Systems: Including CPU coolers, case fans, and liquid cooling systems.
Computer Cases and Chassis: Enclosures for assembling or upgrading computers.
Peripherals and Accessories: Such as keyboards, mice, thumb drives, and speakers.
Smartphones: New, used, and refurbished smartphones across various brands and models.
Monitors: New and used LCD/LED monitors suitable for computers or other electronic devices.
Smart Tablets: New, used, and refurbished tablets.
Desktops: New, used, and refurbished desktop computers.
Laptops: New, used, and refurbished laptops.
Printers: New, used, and refurbished printers, including ink and toner cartridges.

Prohibited Items: The following items are strictly forbidden from being listed on RecycleTech.com.my:

Illegal or Stolen Goods: Items that are illegal to sell or have been reported as stolen.
Counterfeit or Replica Products: Items that infringe on intellectual property rights, including pirated software or counterfeit hardware.
Hazardous Materials: Items that pose a safety risk or are restricted under local, national, or international law.
Non-Tech Items: Items unrelated to computer components or technology, such as household goods, clothing, or services.

Detailed Listing Requirements

Accurate Descriptions: Each listing must provide a clear, honest, and comprehensive description of the item being sold. This includes:

Condition: Clearly state whether the item is new, used, refurbished, or for parts/not working. Describe any wear, damage, or missing components.
Specifications: Include relevant technical details such as brand, model, capacity, speed, and any other important specifications.
Compatibility: Mention any known compatibility information, such as supported processors for motherboards or power requirements for components.

High-Quality Photos: Listings must include at least one clear, high-resolution photo of the actual item. Photos should:

Reflect the Item’s Condition: Show any visible wear, damage, or distinguishing features.
Be Authentic: Avoid using stock photos, especially for used items. If the item is brand-new and unopened, stock photos may be used in addition to photos of the actual packaging.

Fair and Transparent Pricing:

Pricing in MYR: All prices must be listed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).
Reflecting Market Value: Prices should reflect the current market value of the item, taking into account its condition, age, and any included accessories.
No Hidden Fees: The price listed should be the total amount a buyer is expected to pay, excluding any agreed-upon shipping costs.

Condition Disclosure:

Honesty is Key: Be upfront about the condition of the item. If there are any defects, scratches, or missing parts, these must be disclosed in the description.
No Surprises: Buyers should receive the item exactly as described. Misleading or incomplete descriptions are not permitted.

Authenticity Assurance:

Genuine Products Only: All items must be authentic and as described. Selling counterfeit or fake products is strictly prohibited.
Proof of Authenticity: Sellers may be asked to provide proof of authenticity for certain high-value items, such as certificates of authenticity or original purchase receipts.

Content Restrictions in Listings

Misleading Information: Any listing found to contain false, exaggerated, or misleading information will be removed. This includes but is not limited to misrepresenting the condition, origin, or functionality of the item.

Offensive or Inappropriate Content: Listings must not contain any offensive language, images, or content. This includes:

Hate Speech: Content that promotes racism, sexism, or any form of discrimination.
Inappropriate Images: Images that are not related to the item being sold or that contain graphic or explicit content.

Spam and Multiple Listings:

No Duplicates: Do not post multiple listings for the same item. Each item should have a unique listing, and variations should be combined into a single listing where applicable.
Avoid Spamming: Repeated posting of the same or very similar listings is considered spam and is not allowed.

External Links and Contact Information:

Keep it on RecycleTech: Listings should not include external links to other websites or platforms. All transactions and communications should be conducted through RecycleTech.com.my.
No Direct Contact Details: Do not include your phone number, email address, or other contact details in the listing description. Use the platform’s messaging system to communicate with potential buyers.

Moderation and Approval Process

Pre-Approval Required: All listings submitted on RecycleTech.com.my are subject to moderation and must be approved by our team before they go live on the platform. This is to ensure that all listings comply with our Posting Rules & Regulations and maintain the quality of the marketplace.

Moderation Timeline: Our team typically reviews listings within 24-48 hours. However, during peak times, this process may take longer. Sellers will be notified once their listing is approved or if any changes are required.

Compliance Checks: During moderation, our team will check for:

Accuracy: Ensuring the description, photos, and pricing accurately reflect the item being sold.
Prohibited Content: Verifying that the listing does not contain any prohibited items, misleading information, or offensive content.
Quality Standards: Confirming that the listing meets our quality standards for photos and descriptions.

Seller Responsibilities

Responsive Communication: Sellers are expected to respond to inquiries from potential buyers in a timely and professional manner. This includes answering questions, providing additional information, and confirming purchase details.

Shipping and Delivery:

Secure Packaging: If you offer shipping, ensure that the item is securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
Timely Dispatch: Items should be shipped within the timeframe agreed upon with the buyer. Provide tracking information where possible.
Local Pickup: If offering local pickup, arrange a safe and convenient location for both parties. Respect any agreed-upon timeframes for the exchange.

Returns and Refunds:

Clear Policy: Clearly state your return and refund policy in the listing. Buyers should know upfront whether returns are accepted and under what conditions.
Fair Resolution: If an item is not as described, the seller may be required to offer a refund, repair, or replacement. Disputes should be resolved amicably and in accordance with RecycleTech’s policies.

Prohibited Seller Activities

Fraudulent Practices: Any form of fraud, including listing items you do not own, misrepresenting items, or failing to deliver sold items, is strictly prohibited.

Multiple Accounts: Sellers are not allowed to create multiple accounts to manipulate listings, reviews, or any other aspects of the platform. Doing so will result in the suspension of all related accounts.

Unauthorised Use: The platform must not be used for any unauthorized purposes, such as promoting unrelated products or services, conducting unsolicited surveys, or distributing malware or other harmful content.

Reporting Violations

How to Report: If you encounter a listing that you believe violates these Posting Rules & Regulations, you can report it directly through the platform. Our team will review the report and take appropriate action.

Consequences for Violations: Listings that violate our rules may be removed without notice. Repeat offenders may face account suspension or permanent banning from the platform.

Modifications to the Rules

Right to Change: RecycleTech.com.my reserves the right to modify or update these Posting Rules & Regulations at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. We encourage all users to review this page regularly to stay informed of any updates.
